The network of stations for distributing official news and information, and carrying communications under Royal Charter. Royal vassals are required to maintain Post stations in their care but Post officials are responsible only to the Royal Post. They maintain news kiosks and announcement platforms in cities and towns, riders to carry post dispatches (free for Royal purposes and for the patron or vassal maintaining the station, small fees charged to others,) message bird frames and keepers, LOS (line-of-sight) towers, etc. Post stations on Royal Roads are also linked by buried conduits for a wired-telegraphy system.
