The Segway PT (personal transporter) is a two-wheeled, self-balancing electric vehicle. It offers excellent manoeuvrability with true zero turning radius due to its side-by-side wheel design. The Segway PT achieves its upright balance using a technology called dynamic stabilisation with a combination of high-speed microprocessors, solid-state gyroscopes and tilt sensors, very much in the same way that a person does while standing up.

A driver leans forward or back to move the Segway PT forward or backward. A Segway PT can move at a speed up to 12.5 miles per hour (20.1 km/h) on a electric motor.
