Internal carotid artery
In human anatomy, the internal carotid arteries are major arteries of the head and neck that supply blood to the brain. There is a left and a right internal carotid artery; each one arises from the corresponding common carotid artery in the neck and divides in the brain into the corresponding anterior cerebral artery and middle cerebral artery.
