Refrigerant

The working fluid of a refrigeration system that directly or indirectly extracts and carries away heat from a product or space being cooled. The primary refrigerant in a system takes up the heat in an evaporator or heat exchanger and discharges it in a condenser. The secondary refrigerant is the intermediate fluid in the system, cooled in a heat exchanger by the primary refrigerant, and used to actually cool the product or space.
