Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)
International organisation established by the Chemical Weapons Convention to ensure implementation of the Convention's provisions, including those for verification of compliance with the Convention, and to provide a forum for consultation and cooperation among its States Parties. The OPCW consists of three bodies: the Conference of States Parties, the executive council and the technical secretariat. All States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention are members of the OPCW.
