Anti-globalization

Vague term representing an opposition to the social, political, economical, or other effects of globalization. This opposition is unique in that many otherwise diverging or even opposing interest groups - such as environmentalists, unions, and whale fishers - can find themselves on the same side protesting against globalization. While there are many aspects to Globalization, the two most contested are the increasing role and wealth of transnational corporations and the impositions placed by multi-lateral on developing nations.
