Solid-phase sequencing

A set of methods for sequencing of proteins and synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids, in which the subject molecule is attached to a solid support to aid in its separation from reagents during chemical reactions. The reagents may be in a liquid or a gas phase. In one procedure, the reaction takes place at the solid-liquid interface of a spinning cup that holds the immobilised polymer and the reagent solution.
